progress on Sawyers nursery..

I am glad to say the Sawyers nursery is all painted, but why is it so hard to find a true grey color. The grey that we painted it looks more blueish to me. But oh well, its staying. Tyler would flip if I asked him to repaint it another color.

I was informed on etsy that the bedding shipping yesterday, so I will definitely be looking out for that. Things are coming along in his room, we have 13 weeks to finish it up.

I will be posting picture when it is all put together, until then I will show you a peek at his fabric for the bedding

Memorial Day.

I think people forget the real meaning of this holiday. Yes it is fun to get a 3 day weekend and take off to the lake with your friends, or have a cookout. But I think people forget its a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation's service. As an Navy brat for the majority of my life I have a huge respect for those who have served, currently are serving and for our fallen. It is because of them we have our freedom.

On to how I spent my Memorial weekend, no river or lake for me. No instead I went into work Friday night and than Saturday am. However when I got off Saturday we went and hung out by the future MIL pool for a little than home. Sunday and Monday were days packed full of sun & baseball & grilling out!! Ryan was a little water boy, he was turning blue and shaking and still didn't want to get out, of course I made him sit in the sun for a little so he was fine. He was the first one in and the last one out. Me & Tyler did not jump in the pool, it was a little to cold for me. I need to catch some sun anyways.

Someone got a little to much sun and was passed out on the patio, I hated having to wake him up to get ready for the Redbirds game. But I knew he would have a ton of energy and love the game.

Now I am going to be honest, not much into watching baseball. But, I do however love going and getting the food (not paying those prices though, gees $10 for a BBQ Nacho) and spending time with my boys. They just had to have a foam finger and pennant, which they are now hanging on their bedroom wall. I knew the boys would really love this game, because it ended in fireworks!!!

prayers for OK

There was rain and thunder and lighting all day yesterday here in Memphis TN, flooding in some parts. Nothing what the people of Moore, OK experienced. It seem one disaster after another, mother nature seems to be taking back her land. When I was younger and living in Guam on the military base we had experienced a typhoon. Our home was flooded and trees were knocked down, we had to sleep at the hospital where my dad worked it was a scary thing for a 4 year old to witness. Luckily our home was still standing afterwards. Breaks my heart even thinking about what these families are going through.

Birchbox

Is anyone else in love with Birchbox, or is it just me?! I love every month when I see that pink little box in the mail and wondering what little goodies there are to try. This is only my 3rd box and I am hooked, and for $10 its worth it.

Included in the box was:
It conditions, shields from heat and sun damage, and–of course–detangles, among other things. Plus, it’s 100% vegan and suitable for all hair types.

Made with all-natural fruit extracts, the lightweight formula is loaded with rejuvenating ingredients that boost elasticity and protect skin against environmental aggressors.

Well its toothpaste, kinda explains itself. Fortified with fluoride, the Whitening formula gently removes any stains or discoloration for gleaming pearly whites.

Sourced from rare sea buckthorn berries, Obliphica oil is a wonder ingredient rich in natural vitamins and omega acids that sink into each follicle, repairing any signs of heat and styling damage. Vitamin C adds brightness and shine. Plus, the formula is completely free of parabens and sulfates.

Light-diffusing mica minerals soften the appearance of pores and wrinkles for a fresh, flawless complexion.

Made with organic guayusa, an exotic Amazonian leaf, each brew has more caffeine than your typical tea blends and double the antioxidants of green tea.

This is a great deal for just $10 a month, especially if you aren't sure about a product. Instead of spending $30 on something you can try it out and if you love I, stock up on it!!  I will be reporting back after using these products and letting you know my honest opinion.

There is also a Birchbox for men, little pricier at $20 a month.

Mothers Day

My first official post will be about the boys in my life, the ones who have my heart. I have had the mom title for over eight years now. These boys have changed my life for the better! They may have given me stretch marks and a not so flat tummy, but I would say it was worth it. I have a bigger heart because of these boys they know they will always have a piece of it. I know what it means to love someone unconditionally.

This mothers day was spent at putt-putt. Go karts & bumper boats is how they spent the day, and a little indoor sky rope course. I was so proud of Ryan for actually getting up there and doing it by himself. Tyler went just to help him with the ropes but Ryan was leaving him behind and was taking off without him.

Afterwards we hit up the mall, I got a mani (which I was in need for, it had been about 4 weeks). Did a little baby shopping, got Sawyer the cutest little Long-sleeve chambray shirt from baby GAP, that will look adorable with some dark straight leg jeans and red toms.

Headed over to the future MIL house where my mom and brother met us and we had a nice grilled out dinner. And the best part was giving our moms their gifts. We bought them a Barnes & Noble - NOOK Simple Touch which was a steal at only $23.xx each!! And they are in love with them, have not stopped talking about them. Tyler's mom said all day Monday she was on it downloading books.

All in all it was a lovely mothers day, spent it with the 3 boys who mean the most to me. By next year Sawyer will be here and I will have 4 boys who have a special place in my heart!

Oh, well.. Hello there.

I recently decided I would take up blogging again. I truly do miss it!! It has been YEARS!! Now lets hope I can stick with it... With baby #3 on the way i really want to get back into keeping up with the memories!!

I have no set topics to talk about it can be anything from fashion, my kids, my life, decorating, cooking or just my ramblings for that day. Hopefully, I can get thins thang up and running soon.

Still working on finding a new layout and tweaking a few things, so please be patient.
