Memorial Day.

I think people forget the real meaning of this holiday. Yes it is fun to get a 3 day weekend and take off to the lake with your friends, or have a cookout. But I think people forget its a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation's service. As an Navy brat for the majority of my life I have a huge respect for those who have served, currently are serving and for our fallen. It is because of them we have our freedom.

On to how I spent my Memorial weekend, no river or lake for me. No instead I went into work Friday night and than Saturday am. However when I got off Saturday we went and hung out by the future MIL pool for a little than home. Sunday and Monday were days packed full of sun & baseball & grilling out!! Ryan was a little water boy, he was turning blue and shaking and still didn't want to get out, of course I made him sit in the sun for a little so he was fine. He was the first one in and the last one out. Me & Tyler did not jump in the pool, it was a little to cold for me. I need to catch some sun anyways.

Someone got a little to much sun and was passed out on the patio, I hated having to wake him up to get ready for the Redbirds game. But I knew he would have a ton of energy and love the game.

Now I am going to be honest, not much into watching baseball. But, I do however love going and getting the food (not paying those prices though, gees $10 for a BBQ Nacho) and spending time with my boys. They just had to have a foam finger and pennant, which they are now hanging on their bedroom wall. I knew the boys would really love this game, because it ended in fireworks!!!
